cant download flas player it asks for password

I keep trying to download flash player but all i keep getting is asking me for password which i havent got

You do, it's your login password. If you can give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | egrep 'flash|gnash|swf|gnash'

I can advise how to install flash. You don't need to manually install flash in Ubuntu.
