my pdf files wont save any text i enter

whenever i make a pdf file that has a box for people to enter text into, then i enter text into it and save it, the saved file has no text in the text box.

How are you making the PDF file? Which application are you using and which version of Ubuntu?

i am using a pdf file made by my teacher. im using abode reader. i am running ubuntu 12.04

You don'y have to 'bump' The question has 15 DAYS. If there is no activity after 15 days, then the question expires. Bumping after 2 hours does nothing

oh, well is there any way i can keep the text i enter into a pdf from dissappearing because i have three more days to submit this document

Brian Marine, you could import the PDF into LibreOffice Draw via the libreoffice-pdfimport package extension. I have done this on many occassions to begin editing, save for later, and finish editing PDF documents. As an alternative, Google Docs has a reasonable PDF import/export functionality.
