To do the above you will need ubuntu installing. This question is regarding PDFs not installing Ubuntu. Please create a separate question.

Can you please also give a more detailed reply than "not solved" it helps nobody at all, most of all YOU, as you have not let us know what you have tried and how it went and what bits worked in a small sense.

If you can reply intelligently rather than in the childish manner above, we can advise to get you to your goal.

I installed adobe reader
when tried to open the folder following error occurred while loading the archive

COMMAND LINE OUTPUT
Archive: /home/karthik/Downloads/Adobe/ar505enu.exe
[/home/karthik/Downloads/Adobe/ar505enu.exe]
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /home/karthik/Downloads/Adobe/ar505enu.exe or
/home/karthik/Downloads/Adobe/ar505enu.exe.zip, and cannot find /home/karthik/Downloads/Adobe/ar505enu.exe.ZIP, period.

That's not acrobat reader for Linux, That's the one for Windows. Ubuntu is not Windows it is a distribution of Linux.

You can install the Linux version with:

cd; wget http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/unix/9.x/9.4.2/enu/AdbeRdr9.4.2-1_i486linux_enu.bin; chmod +x ./AdbeRdr9.4.2-1_i486linux_enu.bin; sudo ./AdbeRdr9.4.2-1_i486linux_enu.bin; rm ./AdbeRdr9.4.2-1_i486linux_enu.bin

And it will install Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.4

Can you help with this problem?
