Adobe Reader Installation/Execution

Asked by Daniel Blakley

I have found I can not read an Adobe Postcript file. To solve I have:
Downloaded the Adobe Reader onto the desktop, yielding a binary executable (as the Reader).
At this point to install it, does one move it to the .bin folder(?) If so, how(?)

You should first try to install the Adobe Reader from Synaptic.

Go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

Then I'd do a search for "postscript" or "pdf" or "acrobat" or "adobe" -- search around and select a package to install that sounds suitable. Then you should be able to launch that viewer from the "Applications" menu once you've told Synaptic to install what you selected.

Hi :)

The route from the top-taskbar

System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

should help you install "Evince" which should be able to read this type of file.
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

Can you help with this problem?
