acpid powerbutton issue

hi there,

i am trying to change the behaviour of the powerbutton.
powerbutton push should induce suspend state.

i changed the command in /etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh to /usr/sbin/pm-suspend.
i tried "echo -n "mem" > /sys/power/state"
as well. both dont work.
after power button push, the computer shuts down though. :(

what did i do wrong?

calling the commands per keyboard works.
