laptop FN problems

I have a brand new Samsung X360 laptop and I installed Ubuntu Netbook on it.
I have problems with the FN keys and especially with the screen brightness which is low even now. I have a DVD with all the drivers provided by Samsung but it is useless because I don`t have a DVD-ROM!
Even more when I pres FN and another F key the system does not respond to the taskbar commands and the keyboard freezes and does not work.
What should I do?

I think I solved the problem my self. Just installed ATI Catalysts Control Center. It solved (at least) my major problem!

Hi
i am french and i have the same problem after wenesday update ubuntu .Fn and f6 or 7 dont work on my laptop .Impossibile to change but fn works for sound or standby .
I hope there a solution
I used the applet "sun" but that dont work and i am on packard bell laptop .
