Keyboard sometimes doesn't resume

Asked by Brian Peterson

Hi Everyone,

Once out of ever 10 suspends my computer resumes and the keyboard doesn't work. My mouse works fine and using that I am able to restart the computer and the keyboard function returns. It doesn't look like anyone has really seen this before based on my search of the forums.

I am running Ubuntu 16.04. Not sure what to look for with this one so please let me know if what outputs from my computer would be helpful. My network card does the same thing, but I am able to bring that back online by resetting the network manager. I am curious is there is something similar for the keyboard?

Thanks,

Brian

Does the system have a make and model? If the system isn't a laptop, does the keyboard have a make and model? How does it connect to the system?

Thanks for replying. The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite S50-A. Full part number is: PSKK6U-08X06G.

Try the additional boot options

atkbd.reset i8042.nomux

Ok, I added that to /etc/default/grub and added that command in the quotes before quiet splash. I will let you know if the problem persists.
