I'd like to see a choice of resuming from SUSPEND by either keyboard or mouse made available.

Asked by Jo Jo San

One of my systems - I have to turn my mouse upside down and point it's LED into the air, to stop it being "motion" sensitive, even then a spec of dust floats through the beam and the computer resumes and wakes up - at random times.

I'd like to see the function of resume, to be based on choice, of KEYBOARD (only), MOUSE (only) or EITHER keyboard or mouse.

I think it's better to actually have to tap the keyboard as opposed to accidentally bumping the desk (i.e. dog wagging tail - tail hits desk - mouse detects movement, PC resumes from suspend - or having specs of dust float through the mouse beam.)

I think making the system as simple as possible is good, sometimes, but I find that a more granular degree of system control to be a good thing - especially on these functions, to be necessary.

So can we have a "wake from hibernate / suspend" - VIA (select method / device / function) made available?

Yeah but I can't be fucked jumping forums and redoing all the password bullshit.

I am so sick of arseholes like who run Seagate and Western Digital, making crap fucking drives that die with alarming regularity or get bad sectors... and these are not cheap drives. I have had 4 or 5 drives die with the click of death, and all of the rest of them, like about 8 or 9 of them have all gotten bad sectors within 3 months....

I have been sorting out multiple drives - like about 1.3Tb x 3 - all with similar files and folders in them, but not quite, in terms of days, content, and I am fucking tired - 200,000 files or some fucking bullshit. - and the final drives have to have identical sets of everything - and I can't be bothered putting up with more bullshit signing up to more sites - not today.

I have been sorting out all this bullshit created by hardware manufactures - for the last month or so.... and I am fed up.

Oooo Karma Points? Ooooo DID NOT sign the Ubuntu code of Conduct.

Fuck off - this is not the Mickey Mouse School of Political Correctness - for weak minded individuals.

I have a good idea, you do it.

Can you help with this problem?
