Brightness option in Samsung Notebook.

When Brightness option used for dimming or turn off the screen in samsung notebook which i use not working. Automatic dimming and brightness control is displayed and system hangs.

Can you give the output of:

sudo dmidecode -t 1; lsb_release -a; uname -a

If you run:

sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=80

Is it ok?

Also add the boot option:

acpi_backlight=vendor
