Alienware battery

hello
i have alienware M14x and am using ubuntu 12.04 now and i use 11.04 before
i have a problem with battery life , when i work on windows its works for 3 or 4 hours
but on ubuntu its only work for 1 or 2 hours this happened on 11.04 and 12.04
please help me fix this problem

It's a dual GPU system, this will happen. This optimus nonesense is best avoided under Linux and I've never seen a success story with it. This link may help:
