Please write small.

I do not thing that this is a Ubuntu problem. It is more that the computer is not able to do the charge by itself(hardware-not software). May be you have a damaged battery. In this case you should contact the organisator of the computer class.

Anyway you may want to report a bug about.

You can run after ALT+F2:

ubuntu-bug linux

Afer you have finished all steps(Please be carefull -> good descriptions), you can find your laptop name under:

dmi.product.name:
