Monitor goes Blank after 10 minutes

Hi

I have Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS, it does not have a graphical interface.
The screen blanks and the monitor's power button turns amber after 15 minutes.

I have tried a few things found on google but I still have the problem.
Any Idea's?

disable the framebuffer support by adding the nomodeset kernel option in grub

Hi Jeet,

I had really high hopes, because tried a similar entry before.

This is the entry I tried before (Did not work);
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT "quiet acpi=off apm=off"

Using your line the monitor still blanks, the good news is the Power Button does not go amber...so a little progress.
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT "quiet splash nomodeset"

Yes, I did, update-grub and restarted.
