How to increase fan speed for vaio vgn-fs530b

Since I converted my laptop from windows to linux(ubuntu 11.10) I have problems with its drivers, in which how can i fix if my fan is working or not. it is like off. the laptop is heating..

were should I type that? I am using ubuntu 11.10, a little bit different.
