ubuntu 11.04 does not start on battery

I have a dell vostro 1015 with ubuntu 11.04 installed(only os).It does not start on battery power but works perfectly when plugged in .After starting on AC power i can run it on battery and can even safely switch it off but it never starts on battery power and also the bluetooth is not responding properly.The bluetooth indicator light is always off ,whether I turn on /off the bluetooth ,it does not matter.
Kindly help.

I suggest you run:

ubuntu-bug acpi

And log a bug. I suggest you also try to update your BIOS (if an update exists), it may solve the acpi issue
