suspend/hibernate problem after 11.04 upgrade

Since upgrading to ubuntu 11.04 I have had problems with suspending or hibernating my dell inspiron laptop. About half
of the time I get a blank screen after logging in from a suspended or hibernated state. Thank you for help with this problem.
There were no problems before the upgrade.
