HP Mini 110 Battery Issue

Just installed newest version of Ubuntu on my HP Mini. I was using XP before and the battery was charging fine. After installing Ubuntu I am only getting 41% of a charge and then it stops charging. I looked on HP website for a BIOS update but it seems to only work for windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are there ay ACPI bugs logged?
The latest BIOS may help a lot, this is especially the case in netbooks.
