Keyboard and touchpad doesn't work after stanby or hibernation (ubuntu 10.04)

Asked by nazar

Hi. Ubuntu 10.04 is much more stable on my laptop than 10.10. But it has one problem. I oftenly need to hibernate or stanby my laptop. But after starting it from stanby mode keyboard and touchpad doesn't work, but it is not frozen. If I plug in USB mouse, I can log in using screen keyboard. Can it be helped?..

I have been looking how to solve this problem for few month, but today filally found it! :)
Today I found that there is such bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/591746
But adding atkbd.reset didn't helped.
I saw that driver for keyboard in xorg.conf written as "kbd", so in /etc/default/grub i wrote string:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash kbd.reset"

After that keyboard works after suspend and hibernation mode. I tested it about 10 times, so I think my problem is solved. :)
