Battery preferences issue

My battery is 41% charged. Every time i remove the ac cable. I get a critical battery message and the PC shuts down. how can i Adjust critical battery setting or is it a bug ? I'm using v10.10.
BUT it does not happen in windows 7 os. (dual boot)
PS: i don't mean changing the setting to hibernate or suspend I want it to stop
