battery autonomy discharge time

Dear All,
I am using Asus Eeepc 1000HD. Since I 've installed UNE 10.04, I realize that the battery autnomy discharge Time is reduced to 01h45. Is there a way to buff up the time of discharge ? My previous OS was Xandros and i had at leats 7h00 discharge time. I tried Jupiter applet but nothing changed.
