When i shut my Ubuntu 9.10 system it doesn't go off completely

Asked by Endrick Murayi Ngosia

My system doesn't shutdown completely on itself but after i manually switch off the power button it does so. The screen hangs up with error:
*stopping the winbind daemon
* Shutting down ALSA...
*Asking all remaining processes to terminate...
* Deconfiguring network interfaces...
*Deactivating swap...

How can i solve this problem?

Please avoid it, instead use MagicSysRq.

No error messages?
Is it Wubi installation, then have a look at linked bug.

Did you search the web, lots of answers to triage out there.
e.g. shutdown via terminal, repair packages via recovery mode, unplug usb.
