Can I turn off the granmmar checker? I have green lines al over my papers!

Asked by Dave Allen

I am happy with my own careful reading as a grammar check. Since I am writing technical and philosophical papers, I use a lot of unconventional language, and colloquialisms, and I am cross with green underlines on most of what I write. Is this check optional, and how do I turn it off?
