3gb ram+ and directx 10

Hello.

i got a few questions and i hope you can help me.

i just got a new laptop with 4gb ram and a geforce 8600 MGT (for directX 10) and atm I am useing Windows Vista.
the problem is Windows Vista only suports 3gb ram. I would like to know if Linux Ubuntu suports 4gb ram and DirectX 10?

Well, Ubuntu supports 4GB on 32bit systems, as Vista does. You're problem of "lost RAM" is independent to the operating system, but related to your hardware.

Linux does not support DirectX 10, since it's proprietary.

Nevertheless, Ubuntu is the better system. :-)
