New installing via floppy discs?

Loading down Ubutu right now. Have an older Pentium II, IBM Thinkpad. Hard disc is cleaned from WIN98. CD-ROM is destroyed. Have only Floppy disc drive. Anyone with any tip? 350 pcs of Floppy discs??? Laptop has one USB 1. Can Ubutu detect the USB?
