server 6.06 and Realtek NIC

I have a new system with an MSI 945GZM6 MB with builtin Realtek RTL 8100C or RTL 8110SC. The NIC is not detected or supported by server 6.06. I looked for others with the same problem as well as a hardware compatability list for ubuntu. What PCI ethernet cards are recommended and supported in the default 6.06 kernel? If I'm going to buy a new nic for a new machine I want to make sure it is well supported and reliable.
