What linux is the closest "relatives":
I need install a driver and a softver on my kubuntu and only redhat, suse, fedora are supported.

Hello,

i made ubuntu bootable from a stick(#9023). Just try kubuntu in the same way here is the describtion:

So check the used folder and use kubuntu not ubuntu (but check the names on the live cd, i have no kubunut live cd)
