Sound outputting question

... i described my sound system card and my 2 sound outputs (regular earphone, attached to the sound card and a USB desktop sound output), and tried to learn how to configure the later.

Turned out that it was configured automatically and perfectly, and just by going into system-preferences-sound, and switching the "sound events", "music and movies" and "audio conference", from the default "auto-detect" to the option "USB device", I can see movies, for example, with desktop audio.

All fair and nice, except that some sounds don't exit through the USB device even with all options avaiable set to it. For example, the login and logout musics of Ubuntu, and all sounds from games.

I'd like to know if there is, somewhere else, another button for these, and specially if there is somewhere a master button that allows me to change all sounds of the machine to the USB device.

Best regards,

FredLC.

Ok; I solved the problem on my own by purchasing a regular sound desktop set.
