Using the sessions menu to add aplications

Asked by FredLC

Hello there:

I posted in this thread here...

https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/yelp/+question/2989

... but it seems that it does not mark the question as open, so it would not get to your attention.

Anyway, thing is, I don't know, in the "sessions" menu, how to hunt for the right command line for the programs I want to add to the startup. Can you guys point me to some tutorial about that?

Best Regards,

FredLC.

Hello Fred,
the gnome panel is the bar on the top of your desktop with the menu
items Application Places System.

Hello there, Mr. Mathias:

even though the problem that originated this message is solved, I decided to
send this message for 2 purposes.

First, and risking sound like a sycophant, is to thank you all for the great
support - better than the ones I found in several paid software manufactors.

Second is to abuse your help a bit more. I have asked this question...

https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/9852

About eleven hours ago, with no reply. But if you look at the link before,
you'll see that i had a go at these problems even before, I tought it was
solved but turned out it wasn't. and exactly because your response time is
so great, and my question is a simple one (either there is such command
somewhere, or there isn't), this delay leads me to think it won't be
answered at all.

As so, can you please take a look. Even if to say that it is something
unsolvable, and i need to purchase a different desktop sound in order to
have all my audio correctly redirected between desktop and earphone. At the
very least I'll know what will it take to solve the matter.

Best Regards,

FredLC.
