I am considering purchasing a Dell 1721 with the AMD turion 64 X2. Will the Ubuntu release work with processor?

There have been reports of Ubuntu working fine with the AMD turion 64 X2 processer.

The Ubuntu Fiesty Fawn release (7.04) 64 bit version is available at: ftp://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/ftp.ubuntu.com/releases/7.04/ubuntu-7.04-desktop-amd64.iso
