Install Ubuntu using USB drive

Can you please tell me how to install Ubuntu 9.10 using USB drive... I"m sending all my files to USB drive but it's not able to boot.... please help me...

Press ctrl+alt+F1 and see it there is any error reported, if so please post the error.

ctrl+alt+F1 dosnt even bring anything up

found the problem it was a defective usb drive use a new one and it works great
