Will Office 2007 enterprise work on the ubuntu OS?

I am interested in switching to open source operating system, but i have recently had the chance to stick one to microsoft and would like to keep using my spoils. can i use to office 2007 programs is i switch the operating system on my laptop to? ( Acer aspire 5100 series AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile tech 896mb ram)

You can try to run it with wine (windows api emulation layer) but I cannot guarantee that it will work.
There are also commercial versions of wine - cedega and crossover office which are able to run MS Office better.

You could also use VirtualBox to give you a virtual machine for whatever version of Windows you own to run Office. VirtualBox is quite capable and I use it all the time on Ubuntu because I have to use Windows accounting programs for my work and there are no possible linux equivalents.
