problem with VCL.xcu file -> cant open office

Hello
I have just installed Ubuntu 6.06
Upon opening openoffice a message " /usr/lib/openoffice/share/registry/data/org/openoffice/VCL.xcu is corrupted with out the data some of the function dont work etc....

Indeed not all the functions are there

What do you suggest?

Can you check your cd to eliminate this possibility:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/CDIntegrityCheck

Also is there any reason you choosed the 6.06 version ?
Maybe the newer 7.04 version is better for you.
