Unable to install Ubuntu 7.04 32 bit version

My desktop version of ubuntu 7.04 x86 ver. always ask a login and password before it could install into the hard drive, but when given any password then it refusesto accept it and i am totally anable to install it into my hard disc drive.please guide me .as i have already fedora core 7 and two other windows based operating system in the same hard disc drive.......?

Its either a bad disk, a bad image or a bug of the installer. Can you download and try the Alternate CD?
Try also to check your image before burning, burn with a lower speed and/or change media and/or burning software and check your CD for defects before installing.
