If I did not pre set my BIOS but it works Okay ?

I didnt do anything to my BIOS before I installed UBUNTU. My sound will only work at half power,but everything else seems to work fine. Will I be alright ?

You don't really need to "set" anything in the bios to install ubuntu, but some people have to change their boot order to be able to boot the CD. I'm not sure about the sound issue. You might need to tweak some settings or it's possible your sound card isn't well supported in Linux - can't really say. You might want to post a separate question about that.

However, if sound is your only problem then I wouldn't worry too much (unless sound is really important). In any case, if it's installed I wouldn't worry about the bios at all.
