Xerox Document Centre 432 on Linux
Asked by

I use Ubuntu 7.0.4 Linux at work. The printer is on a network with a given IP address on a given TCP/IP port.
I've set it up before on Windows XP, ironically in Windows it cannot be set up as a network printer, it has to be set up as a local printer with a virtual port (TCP/IP port 515). Don't ask me why that is....it will not work if it is set up as a network printer.
Anyway, I looked on the Xerox website and I was unsuccessful in finding the appropriate driver for the printer at work.
Can anyone please tell me if there is an alternative print driver I can set up which will let me work? If I can do this, I'll be able to eliminate Windows at my work station!
