Debian should I Install

I am a real newbie, and I have seen a lot on Debian mentioned. should I Install when I am using Ubuntu version 7.08, something tells me no. If I should give me guide as to how to download.

Installing a distro is a matter of personal choice, that is influence by many factors.

Since you consider yourself a newbie and since you state that you have allready installed Ubuntu 7.04, why not give your installed system a try first. After all, Ubuntu is Debian based.
