EEE hotkeys and the hotkey tool

After login only the brightness hotkeys are working on my eee. I have to start the hotkey-tool once, then the others work too but only if i logout or reboot. Something was started with hotkey setup and runs on, This should be started at session login, who can tell me the name of this prog or daemon?

If you run:

xev

in a terminal, do they make events? If so you can run the keyboard shortcuts item in preferences and set the items to functionality there.

I only get focus events while switching through both windows (maximus). The FN-Combinations seems to be outside the normal keymap. But found the solution, the hotkey-tool starts gnome-settings-daemon that is was started as default in UNR. After putting gnome-settings-daemon to my session everything is fine now.
