UBUNTU new install if i want to use K-lite codec for media what do I do ?

Asked by Aztec13

Can I download k-lite codec mediaPack for UBUNTU (new Install) W/O all the PlugIns ?

I like the media pack and it plays everything there is,it's free and works.I just put UBUNTU in my CPU as the OS and I am trying to make it all work now.I was about to d'Load "Restricted Access extras" but then I saw it said it would be a long download and that means its a large file.It takes less time to download these codecs that an play the moon & the stars. I only have 10GB to play with so I have to use it sparingly. I want to take all the media related programs that came with the instal, and after would I have to do anything at all to make IT work as far as adding plugIns or just for my Firefox browser now or what ?

There is no such thing as "k-lite codec mediaPack for UBUNTU". K-lite codec pack is for Windows only.
If you want to install video codecs install w32codecs from Medibuntu.
