EeePC 901 and v9.10

I just updated my EeePC901 from 9.04 to 9.10. I like the layout but now it's very slow between selecting sidebar tabs and icons to perform these tasks.
Also when shutting down the computer 9.10 goes through a "Logout" process and :HALTS". In other words the computer never shuts off, I have to press the power button to turn off the PC. Does anyone know why this is happening?

try:

sudo apt-get --reinstall install xserver-xorg-video-intel

Sounds like your graphics are a bit off if its laggy. Have you checked for bug reborts for your device?
