Problem booting ubuntu (with pics)

Asked by Horgh on 2009-11-28

Gentlemen, I have a bit of a problem.

I installed ubuntu and didn't quite have the experience of an amazing OS I had hoped for.

That's what I get when I boot up.

What is this, I don't even -

How did you install Ubuntu? What version did you install? Are you dual booting?

Horgh (horgh64) said : #2

Dual boot, I'm pretty sure it was 9.1

Hi, the weird thing is that I see busybox, and on my 9.10 installation there no busybox.
Are you sure you installed the Desktop Edition?

Horgh (horgh64) said : #4

Install inside Windows is what I did.

Then you used the "Wubi installer"

"For installation boot logs or if you end up in a busybox console, see /casper.log. You can use the commands "cat" and "more" to read the file."
From windows try to chkdsk the drives too.

Thanks Appiah, I'll give that a try.
