ClamTK will not let me update error message reads: You must be root to install updates.

When trying to update ClamTK signatures through the Help pull down menu I get the following error message: You must be root to install updates. I am an absolute beginner, what does this mean and how do I resolve it?

Hello,

okay to get the latest Updates open a terminal and enter:

gksudo clamtk

Hit enter and clamtk starts and you are able to get the updates.
