Laptop touchpad - Stopped Working

Asked by Steve Garton

Hi There,

Last night my touchpad on my laptop stopped working. All of a sudden. I had Firefox & Thunderbird open at the time. I can plug in a USB mouse, and the pointer works again, but the touchpad does not. Any Ideas?

Steve

Thanks for your question.

Just in case... Try to press "Touchpad on" button (usually a little above the touchpad itself or under Fn+something combo). If that doesn't help, give us your /etc/X11/xorg.conf (please use pastebin) and some info about your system.

Cheers, schoolboy error: Fn + F7, must've hit it by accident!
