skype working fine but

Hi,
skype working fine but I have to take off logitec headphones from my ears to hear my friend speaking through the laptop.

Hello

You must make sure you have plugged your headphones into the correct jack. Laptops have different jacks. 1 is for microphone and the other speakers/headphones.

Secondly if the jack is correct then in top right corner of screen you will see a speaker. right click on it and select preferences. under that select input and test voice/microphone works and under output select headphone

Then you should be ok.

Hello ,
skype is working but the sound of my friends voice is not coming
through my logitec headphone but through the computer therefore I take
off the headphone from my ears to better hear friends voice through the
laptop. My logitec headphone is connected via usb port .

Hello,
the problem may be that though headphone is selected in input it was not
selected in output in System.. Preferences.. Sound. Hoping that this is
the reason why

The problem was solved by selecting headphone in System Preferences Sound
