unable to fix really slow browsing no point in using linux

Asked by Ian Brownlie

I am unable to use linux for web browsing, making the whole exercise pointless. Linux will not recognise the configuration disc from NetComm. the only settings are all for various types of windows. I read somewhere on your site something about DNS numbers. I have no idea what on earth you are talking about. The browser connects to the server but the speed is slower than dial up. As you have probably realised, I am not a computer nerd, my friends told me that linux was for geeks, I'm beginning to believe them. Are you aware of any software that can solve my problem? For now I'm going back to windows, at least I can get that to work. Hoping you can suggest something. Ian

Hallo Ian,

i think you do not need a drier CD. Connect your NB5 via ethernet, open your webbrowser an enter the router IP http://192.168.1.1
Now enter username :admin password: password. After login open the Quick Start page and enter your ISP user informations. Follow the webinterface and erything should work fine.
