Mouse not available for windows in dual mode

Asked by chudq

I have installed Ubuntu 7.04 and windows XP in my HP computer (pavilion 752n) in dual boot modes. If I tune off the power and turn on computer again, I have to boot from Ubuntu first and then reboot back to Windows XP (no power off). Otherwise(if I boot from Windows XP first), my mouse does not respond at all.

This happened after I installed Ubuntu. I had no problem to use my mouse when I had only Windows before. I am not sure if Ubuntu dismount mouse when it shuts down? Or any reason caused the problem?

Thanks for your question.

I'm afraid this is not a linux, but a windows issue. At least I can't see how grub should interfere with the windows mouse pointer.

You might be better off asking at a windows forum.

Can you help with this problem?
