wondring that works on my laptop or not

i had a simple question
i was wondering that will ubuntu work on my laptop l with no problems?
here is my specs:
its pre-built Compacq presario V3500
CPU: Intel R core (TM) 2 Dou
4GB of rams
Graphic card:Mobile intel(R) 965 Express chipset family
Sound:conexant high definition smartAudio HD2
Modem:HDAUDIO soft data fax modem with smart CP

this may not be necessary but i wrote:

Disk drivers :WDC WD1600BEVS-60RST0 ATA device
DVD/CD ROM : matshita DVD RAM UJ-850S ATA Device

I have the same disk and cd/dvd drives as you. Most of your other hardware use very common methods/interfaces when running, so i recommend trying a live cd.

Majority of the problems that you will get would be discovered while running the live cd, and majority of problems have workarounds so do try a live cd before writing the os to your hard drive. Come back if you have any problems.

thanks I did as you suggested and seemed no problem and after that wrote the OS on my hardware and it comes up with no problem
