hitachi usb drive

Asked by Richard McDonald

I just bought a 320GB Hitachi USB Drive, and 9.10 will not mount it, and does not see it, Widoze sees it with no problem. Researching this on the net it says that a special driver is needed for the Hitachi drive, does anyone know where I can get this driver. Thanks in advance Richard

Hi Richard, can you boot the machine and then plug in the USB drive. Then open up a terminal and type the command:

dmesg > dmesg.log

and then attach the output. Maybe this will show us why it's failing to connect. Thanks!

..I meant to say: and attach the dmesg.log file or copy in the contents of dmesg.log into question 89505.

Can you help with this problem?
