Is tire a simple way to in stall Anti virus witch out going to co mad prompt im a dummy to lynx. ty fore your help in this. oh oh im brand new to linx

You should be able to go to the synaptic package manager (Click on System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager) and search for clamav; which is the antivirus package. Most likely you will have to edit your software sources, however there is an easy walkthrough that you can take a look at right here. Just select the link for your version:

Go to the menu and find the terminal:
Applications>Accesories>Terminal

Click on the Terminal icon then copy this code:

sudo apt-get -install clamav

That's all!

you can always go onto AVG AntiVirus's site, they do a anti-virus program for linux.
It takes a little time to set up, but its nice if you want to extra security.
