How to see Ubuntu 9.10 desktop on Windows Domain

I would like to be able to share files from my Ubuntu 9.10 machine to users on a windows domain.I am able to view and access the windows machines from Places>Network but am not able to see my own computer there also from the windows machines under my network places i am not able to view my Ubuntu machine.When i enable the firewall i cannot access any of the Windows machines even after i have enabled port 137,138,139,445 through the ufw firewall.This was not a problem with Ubutnu 9.04.

Sorry if it's too obvious, but have you actually installed samba, not just the samba-client? I think that only the client is installed by default, which would probably make you invisible on the win-net... Hope this helps
