kde crashes after distribution upgrade.

i used ubuntu 9.04 kde 4.3.2. i clicked distribution upgrade in kde update manager and it downloaded & installed about 1.3GB updates. but after installation, it seems nothing changed but frequent crashing kde.my window manager changed into metacity(so all desktop effects gone) and when i try system settings>look and feel>desktop then the menu crash. i have no sound.
my graphics card is radeon 4670.

It happened wit me several times so changed to Ubuntu 9.10... seems there are many bugs even bugs are not getting reported that also crashes (apport crashes)
