Cinelerra cannot be found in Ubuntu 9.10's Software Center

Asked by Pabs

Hi. I went to Cinelerra's page and tried dabbling with my OS's software resources. I bungled it up, but thanks to the help of the kind people here, it's "fixed" now. Here's the thread of the problem: (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/89047). Unfortunately, I'm still no nearer to my goal than I was at the start. The software sources no longer has errors, but I still haven't installed the software.

The repository for cinelerra is already in the system, but I can't find it in the list of programs in Ubuntu Software Center. How do I make it appear? Or is 9.10 not supported as of this time?

The Ubuntu Software Center only shows a selection of the most commonly used softwares

You will probably find the Cinelerra package from within the Synaptic Package Manager

After adding the Cinelerra repository,

You have to do

sudo apt-get update (or refresh/reload the repositories in the graphic mode - Synaptic)

then

sudo apt-get install cinelerra (or search for 'cinelerra' in Synaptic and select for installation)

Can you help with this problem?
